Caye Caulker is located about 32 km north-northeast of Belize City, and is accessible by high-speed water taxi or small plane. In recent years the island has become a popular destination for backpackers and other tourists. The island is basically a sand bar over a limestone shelf.
This area is popular with marine activities. Once on the island; the main mode of transport is simply walking. The paths are well defined, and crossing the island takes 20 minutes at most. Bicycles and golf carts are also common and can be rented.

Hol Chan Marine Reserve
The park, which originated in 1987, is 6.4 km south of San Pedro Ambergris Caye and is the most popular day trip from San Pedro, perfect for snorkeling or diving. The depth is only about 30 feet. Here, you’ll see schools of grouper, snapper and barracuda.
Caye Caulker DIVING
It’s the cheapest way to get a diving license in here out of Belize. You are supposed to take a three days course to acquire the open water license that is the most standard national diving license, once you get it, you can see all under the sea world.
