Take a journey back in time and explore the third largest Mayan Site in Belize. Lamanai which translates to “Submerge Crocodile”.
Located in the Orange Walk District the Lamanai temple complex sits atop a bluff and is spread out along the west bank of the New River Lagoon at a point where the New River flows from the lagoon on its 80-mile journey, north to Chetumal Bay and the Caribbean Sea.
The tour to the Lamanai Ruins site is a combination of a scenic tour through the New River and the New River Lagoon with the final destinations being the mayan site of Lamanai.

You will climb to the top of the temple, which is 33 meters tall. This temple is famous for the huge faces on the wall. They have weathered away, but you can see their faithful replicas.
